Hi dudes! I'm just wondering that am I allowed to remix those old songs without a permission? (I know I can, but without a harm) I'm currently remixing a Ice MC's Think about the way which is published around 1994. Do you have any additional help to share with us? Feel free to tell us. No you are not allowed to remix and spread the remix in internet etc. Not without the permission of original artist. In mikseri.net you can find many different forum posts about issues concerning cover songs, remixed etc. so just go a check out

The only music you can use freely is folk-music and music written by people that have been dead for 80 years.
Other than this, you need permission.

It was 20 years, but the international law has changed recently. Now it's 80 years for sure.
