One-month resuscitation time 
So I saw the following in the last week of December:
Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny 4.5/5
The Reduced Shakespeare Company 5/5
Idiocracy 4.5/5
Ghost in the Shell 4/5 - great film yeah, but lags every once in a while.
Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence 3/5 - a total mindfuck, way too incoherent, and annoying in its treatment of the series' main character.
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Solid State Society 4/5 - first half is kind of lackluster, and annoying in its initial treatment of the series main character. The second half is a great Ghost in the Shell story.
And yeah, I got the special edition of Aliens, now with 20% more buildup, character development and awesomeness.

DEATH RACE --- 10/10 (Simply Amazing) (Jason Statham at his best)
THE BANK JOB --- 9/10 (Very Very Very good) (Again JAson Statham rocks and it is based on a true story)
REVOLUTION ROAD --- 2/10 (Other than the performances of Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Blanchet this movie is completely stupid)

I dedicated this week to JASON STATHAM (action movie actor) Movies
--------------------
1) TRANSPORTER 1 ---> 4/10 Sorry but it was very boring at some times.
2) TRANSPORTER 2 ---> 9/10 Exact opossite of the first one, very exiting , amazing fight scenes keeps you at the edge of your seat most of time, very well made movie.
3) TRANSPORTER 3 ----> 6/10 OK i guess but of course not as good as the previous one.
4) CRANK ----> 10/10 , OMG , OH MY GOD!!!!! This must be the CRAZIEST SHIT I WATCHED!!!! A movie that in the start seems pretty bad but as the time flows it get better and better until the GRAND FINALLE. You must watch it , if action movies is your thing. It will blow your MIND
5) A KINGS TALE : DUNGEON SIEGE ---> 4/10 If it was not for the good cast this would have been a 2/10 . Yes this is a movie based on the well known computer game. Never though that DUNGEON SIEGE had a good scenario (UNLIKE DIABLO which really really ROCKS as a Story) . I heard that the director was UWE BOLL who is notorious for making flops but had to see it. Again the cast is pretty good , the acting is very good but the scenario sucks big time , huge time. Some of the lines are pretty ridiculous , but other than that it has some good visual effects and very good actors.

I had a binge too, but mostly sci-fi oriented, with a few exceptions.
Gremlins 4/5 - great movie and all, but the genre schizophrenia is annoying. Joe Dante can't decide if it's a dark comedy or horror film.
Gremlins 2 5/5 - and finally, he decided in favour of comedy. Specifically, the combination of insane violence and slapstick humour you'd find in Army of Darkness. Well, alright, Gremlins 2 isn't R-rated, but it's kind of the same.
(as I said, Serenity is awesome)

Sunshine 3.5/5 - a well-executed Alien ripoff. Sort of Alien without the alien.

I agree with all you have written except only one thing. Sunshine has nothing to do with alien. It is actually a "Event Horizon" ripoff.
