Can someone recommend a good, freeware MIDI program that will load MIDI files so that I can see the notes and other data inside? I've tried Modplug Tracker but it doesn't do a very good job of it, so what's a better alternative?

Ive got one that is quite a bit older and not available anymore. I dont even know if its "free", but I downloaded it from a guys homepage many years ago and can only assume its free.

I will email it to you if you want, its about 2.5 MB

This is MidiSoft Studio 4... I used it since 1998 and then before that I was using MidiSoft Music Magic which is just an earlier version of the same thing. This also includes two audio tracks for syncronizing wav files ad some decent printing options.

Oh, I didn't even realise Renoise can import MIDI files too. Disregard my request then. :wall:

Sorry for the waste of time, obScene. :crap: Or actually, maybe I'll just get it anyway to see if the output is any different, cos Modplug Tracker and Renoise were. :eyes:

MIDI: Full MIDI and MIDI sync (master/slave modes) support. Will fit right in with your current studio setup.
