Hi,

Im wanting to send one of my tracks over the net ( The .rsn file & all the individual samples) I am wanting to extract certain samples from varios refills.... Does anyone know the best way to do this, I was hoping you could use the self contained settings option but it dosn't actually do anything :( So some way I will have to do it manually..

I am hoping refill packer will work, but I dont have it...

Can anyone help me out..

If the one you send the song to has the refills you use.. it will work fine by just sending the song. I dont think theres something like a refill unpacker. :?:

I dont think there is any way you can unpack reason refill. It has been discussed several times in several forum, but I have never seen any refill packer actually.

Self contains is a tool that you can include your files (wav, etc) in your song, so your own samples, which you used, but not from a refill.

Refill packer is a tool, which with you can create your own refill.

What you can do, is save patches for certain instruments, and make your nice selection of refill for your own. It means, that you have a refill, which contains the nice patches of several refills, but in order to use this, you need to have the original refills (and also the one who listens). So it is just an organisation tool.

You can play each of your instrument and record to wav, which you can export back to reason, and with self contain setting you can make them accessible. Not suggested, especially if you use subtractor and malstrom, or layered patches.

Thanks for your help. I may have to re-record all of the samples.. Hmm.. this will be a pain in the ass!! I've tried to save the song as a self contained file but I can hardly see that all of the samples are included considering the .rsn file is only 186kb..

Anyway, I will Find a Way! :)
