Ok none of my songs ever made the mix, and in July, I thought I would finally do it with Protect Me.

Guess it didn't make it either, pretty disappointing since it got 150 downloads in a day, its been played on 4 fm radios, and its been on about 5 other sets.

Anyways, I am just annoyed with how artists are popularized for artist of the month etc. Its still a trance community, and because of that, the non-trance producers stand out like crazy, when compared to other ambient, classical, electronica, etc producers around their own genre based communities, they aren't good at all. The people who have been part of the community the longest, generally get interviewed and the most respect. There aren't really interesting posts in the General section anymore. The mixes aren't well done, the songs in the mixes are eqed so differently, some enjoy an ear piercing high freq upgrade that sounds unprofessional, or a really quiet kick. The interviews aren't ever that interesting because the questions are pretty general, I could just go to each of their websites and read biography. Questions more gearing to their music, and if they even have skill, how they obtained it very specifically would be more interesting.

Good things though, it has an amazing layout and design system, and I respect gaj a rediculous amount for making this site, and keeping it alive. The administration always does their work efficiently and cool, si that aspect is outstanding. Keep it up,

Anyways, I guess I'll be more inactive now, probably won't post songs here anymore, just because it isn't good to get feedback, its not helpful and usually it makes you feel bad. I don't even want people to know when I am producing songs, unless they are specifically interested, and if that is true, they can go to my website.

Lastly I just want to say how the social structures around here are trash. I hate big fish in little pond social structures, and that's exactly what exists around here. A certain 20 artists are super respected, even though 10 of them have 6/10 music. A lot of people have a huge ego also. Socially, this is a really sneaky, annoying place. People don't express their true feelings, and are mostly bullshit here. I find more truth in real life.

The people I talk to pretty often are actually true people, and I will continue to stay in touch with them, otherwise, that's it, good bye.

The post above me is bullshit, because it doesn't have any thought, and its just used a tool.

EDIT: oh shit, ignore the opening section of this, I guess my other song made the mix, but I still have the same feelings in the bottom.

Wahahaha!
I hate this...people always naggin about the homepage, the music, the reviews, the forums, the people, the....bla bla bla.
And then always somebody comin along with their "BIG" goodbye...
It's always like...Oh, I don't like you people anymore, so I guess I'll leave...or maybe just make it look as if I'm leaving, post a "BIG" topic about me saying goodbye forever and then maybe get the attention, which I never got...
Just like a little child,...you made me cry...for that I'll never come back again and I won't be producing ANY music anymore!, now you guys will have to live without my tracks...
Pff...so who cares...grow up!
I don't need any of your music...if you want then leave...what's so great about leaving a homepage.
Anyway, I guess I gave my 2 cents and I'll cya tomorrow, since you of course are only talking big, with no truth in you words, but anger...lol.
Bla... :badday:

I think this is a very childish reaction.

Its still a trance community

When it was founded it was , i don't think it's now. I mean the community is not purely trance orientated.

The mixes aren't well done, the songs in the mixes are eqed so differently, some enjoy an ear piercing high freq upgrade that sounds unprofessional, or a really quiet kick.

I guess whe should hire mr. Tiesto or Carl Cox to do the mixes eh ?
My point is that this is a site for amature musicians and you expect pro stuff.

I see your post like this ; your personal favorite song didn't make the mix and now almost everything on ctg is wrong.

Ontopic : the mix is great.
