Nah, I don't think so. AudioRealism Bass Line is the most accurate 303 emulation I've yet seen. I can't tell the difference. They even give you samples of a real TB303, with the identical pattern being played on it and the Bass Line, to compare for yourself.

yes but the clips on the pages have been choosen from sounds that can be done with this emulator, when there is a lot of resonance and cutoff tweaking, the difference is hearable. well so i have heard from others, i haven't actually tried a real one ever, only heard it.
not that it really have to be exact the same imo, as long as it sounds good

The original is still original I think. Many people think that digital emulator can beat the analog sound. It's not the same as the original harware sound. |

That doesn't really make sense. The emulator can absolutely do anything the original could. I couldn't hear any difference between the TB and the ABL samples.

Yes, but that's a silly thing to say. There are plenty of excellent emulators that will fool 99% of the people that will hear them. No one is going to complain that you used fm7 instead of a dx7, or the D-50 expansion card on the Roland V-Synth instead of a real D-50. Many of these digital emulations have been created by teams of sound researchers and engineers who have gone out of their way to calculate (mathematically) the path and randomness of the original analog sound. No, it's not perfect, but it's damned close.
