Let's hope Ace will build an "squelch member" option someday, where you won't see eachother's forum replies or similar. |
I think this is a good idea and it might prevent flaming in some topics , downside is that it won't do the mood on the forums much good (i think).
What do you think ?

Wouldn't it be a nice world if everyone respected each other and we could all get along?
And no, I really don't like the idea at all. Just ignore someone's post if you don't want to read it.

I was partially serious when I wrote that In chat channels it's highly effective, but since forum replies could contain usefull information (even wrote by the"ignored" user) threads could become very messy.
Guy B is squelched by guy A. Guy B posts some simple question "where do I get these samples?". A few moments later guy A asks the same thing and other members have to re-answer the same question. This is just a very simple example, but things could be very complex...

True , but this is optional so every member could decide for himself if he or she would want to use it. And for some people it's difficult not to ignore someone's post sometimes (including me ) so this could be an option prevent topics form getting ruined , i think. |

Not a very good idea, since everybody has got the right to speak, and say their oppinions. Ans noone shoulf put themselves above other. And it will also cause a mess.
