This is kinda spam I know, but to me is more like a personal question...
My song Breathe got another review removed (it was a 10): other 2 old reviews (with 9 and 10 if I remember well) were removed some time ago.
Now, I don't want to complain about this, the reviews were effectively quite short so what happened is right.
The only thing is that, coincidently, the only "serious" review remained (too bad I lost a great Louigi's review) is a 6 by Sonus. Honestly I think the song deserves more, cause almost any people in real life who listened to it just remaind astonished: not for the sound quality of course, but the song gives some strongest sensations as I could ascertain.
Now the point, to be simple, is that I would like to hear more voices: I don't think "Breathe" deserves 10 or 9, but nor 6: those are ratings for exceptional and average songs, and I think it fits not in both categories...
That's my opinion, I would like to read more of yours and, if you feel to, review it.

Hmmmz, I think I can understand the feeling you have, since it is a song which has a very deep meaning to yourself. Well, I'm not actually a big fan of the idea of rating music at all anymore, so I wouldn't write a review ... but I'll least listen to it. Wait a few minutes. Done. Pretty fast, huh? Well, to be honest, I didn't connect with the emotions in the tune at all. However, that doesn't mean it's the song that is wrong. Just that it ain't my thing/style/whatever.
Fortunately, my music is much more interesting than my posts. |

Heh, at this stage you can skip scores, since 6 is above average and you have special relationship with your song. Scores ain't important afterall  |

It's above average in a mathematical meaning.. we all know 6 is the minimum of the good side.
Scores for me aren't important at all, cause I like the music I do, but since here at CTG they have a meaning (for promoting, and being known), I would rather receive many rates and accept a final "ctg opinion about breathe".

YEs, I know, but I consider ALL music I've heard when scoring wich means average isn't bad at all. Its average considering alos professional songs 
I'm perfectly aware of overrating issue in ctg and seems there isn't much to do for it. Few reviewers keep up their harsh line wich is good, but most of members see their effort like you, in linear comparation with the rest of reviews wich isn't right. Some 6 scores are just more than some other 6 score...... |

Oddly enough, I don't think people are overrating that much at all, it's more common that people underrate songs, because they don't actually like the style. But rating music.... hmmmz... don't like the idea, but I have to admit it's useful for the listener to know what songs to pick.
In this particular case, I think the guy deserves some more reviews, to get a more fair average score, no matter if that would mean two more 6's or a 10. At the other hand, I guess you could say that goes for all songs with only one review.

Indeed, if ratings are to mean something, they have to be an average from several raters. That 6 may cause the song to be ignored by ppl, which is a side-effect of ratings even if you don't really care what you get. If nobody does it and I have time, I will dl and review in the evening.
...but everything's crap anyway... |

This could be a site improvement, why not to generate an average rate only when 2-3 or more reviews have been written? Just an idea, let's see what you think about it.

Not really, I'd download any song that from Delux, even if rated a 3, because I know I like his music...

Who knows, maybe I was in a bad mood or somethinga at that time....it happens.
