Here at CTG new tracks have plenty of attention, and it's good. But old ones are soon forgotten and never come back. It's a pity, because there are a lot of new members who can't listen to the whole archive and simply check the new releases.
I think it would be a great idea to choose a random "old" song every week and make it "The Track of the Week". What do you think?

Maybe. But if you want to check nice tracks, there is the 'favourite system', with charts and everything.
In case you want to highlight a good track, you can do it anytime in the forum, or in your diary or with your review...

I like that idea lots. I'd rather have "track of the week" than daily compo.
Man daily compo means nothing at all... Every day I'm surprised ppl bother to listen to all 3 songs. and if a song wins it still means nothing. just another way to promote massive reviewing.
But yeah moderators plz consider the track of the week idea.

I think that Track of the week is quite stupid too, there are enough ways to find old good tracks.
Just search on 'analysis'

Uhm, of course you cannot pick a random old track.
Just because a track is old it does not make it worth remembering...
We need criterias for "track of the week"
dont kill me, but it has to be based on review.
Only 8+ tracks older than x are able to compete?
Well, the more i think about it, the less i like the idea.
Track of the week (track of the MONTH) should be done, but it should be done only with new songs.
Track of the day with the voting thing... Track of the week, month, YEAR of course would be better.
Yeah, lets make track of the DECADE and vote for it. Thats better than daily voting.
Complicated, complicated.... how not a side is just a container for new songs.
AOTM, SOTM, Reviews, charts, downloads, comments, fav-lists, etc.
This site is hip already!
