Bear with me if this compo has taken place here before.
I've seen many compos been oroganized by some record labels to remix one of their tracks.
I've seen web sites for unsigned producers, doing compos for the best original song, or a compo using especific samples , but I have never seen a collaboration Compo.
I think this would be interesting for the following reasons:
1) Interactivity, since this would motivate artists to know other artists in their way to win the collaboration Compo.
2) Education , one member of the team can learn a thing or two from the other, growing as a producer.
3) Discovering , not only other people who visit this site will discover new talents, who possible weren't that good alone but teaming up do a great job,
(Waap Brothers , Grabriel & Dresden , Hemstock & Jennings are some examples) but the members of the team might figure it out as well.
4) New Styles, a member is great at Ambient music and the other at DnB? mixing their styles surely will give innovating results!! Who doesn't want to try something new and good?

osmusic.net is going to eventually have something like this... It might be a while though, but it is in the plans.

I think it's a fun idea, and I'll try to get myself involved in something like this, whether it takes place here or in OSmusic.
