A brief history of CTG

Today we reached the 100th day of being online and for this occasion i decided to write a little thing about the site , a (short) history:

I (acecream) started working on this site somewhere in June 2002. The first plan was just to make myself a home page :yes:

, but things went into another direction so it was more like a site where others can have their own homepages, with their music (including me). So basicly I started developing a community site. I wasn't rushing or something , so it took some months untill it was finished enough to be published online, but since i didn't know any good host for the site it was just lying on my hard drive for some time till one day Szartd contacted me (we knew each other for some time) and asked me if I could do some site for his domain name (yes you're right it was www.ctgmusic.com). So since I allready developted this site and Szartd liked it, we decided to finish it , and we put it online and run it on his server.

The first online day was December 27th 2002, and the site actualy looked quite different at that time and it also had a little amount of finished things, like there were no charts avaliable then, also, the links pages were not done yet, also the samples pages didn't work yet aswell but as you can see, we worked like hell on this site (thanx to all our members for theri suggestions) and loads of things changed and are now completed. In early February we redesigned the site (Thanx MyzTiQue) and we changed it in what u are looking at now

In those 100 days we were online , more then 200 artists joined, more then 550 songs were added and more then 1200 reviews were posted (more then 2 per song :idea:

). We recieved around 15,000 unique visitors (not that much), making over 175,000 hits on the pages (quite alot

).

We hope to gain more visitors and more importantly more dedicating artists. We have some big plans for future so just keep on visiting the site so you dont miss something big. :yes:

Yeah, this site needs more artists and more people willing to review the songs.
If you look at the reviewcharts, there could be lots and more reviews done if most of us could rate some tracks and write a line or two. :beerchug:
