IMO the charts needs some work. This has been discussed in another thread; but I do think Top 100 Songs (for instance) is a bit misleading for newcomers considering the quality on this site. However if that’s based on popularity, why not just rename it to what it really is; “100 Most Popular Songs”? (And unbold the text  ) Especially for the average visitor, I guess it’s more interesting to reach the Best Rated Songs page. Maybe that’s just me though?

I think the current name is suitable as all "Top X hits" charts around the world are based on popularity (mostly on votings), so IMO there's no need to change that.

And those charts doesn't work iether IMO! CTG should represent great music, not representing crap just like another MTV channel...

Well, the current system counts the rates as the most important feature of a song on charts. Apart from Dragostae remix most songs there on top have high ratings, the downloads goes after the ratings, so it's quite well now IMO. A chart that connects both popularity and quality.
The top rated songs chart changes very rarely, so it's not really interesting.

Might be so. However to a newcomer (which was the thought came from to begin with) it's good to reach the Best rated songs first, to get a better first overall impression. But I guess that's just me then.

I agree with what your saying to some degree, but hasn't the billboard charts always been the top 200 or something?. Something thats been in practice for many decades, people should be accustomed to this, and it shouldn't be misleading at all.
But yes, CTG can change that, if they so wish, to 100 most popular songs - as yes this would give a true reflection of what Top charts really are.

I think the real chart I'm missing here is the "Weekly Best Rated Top 100 Songs".. I mean, something where songs place considering their scores but that has a stronger and more stable structure than a daily chart (and a more dynamic one than absolute charts).
