During this month it became clear that there is only one candidate for artist of the month of January: Buhis.
Buhis has already made its way into various CTG mixes. During his stay at CTG he has produced some excellent songs, and recently he got in touch with Madelief, a very talented flash-designer.

Good interview, great questions, cool responses but I highly disgree with this month's choice.
One song, posted about 7 months ago, that happened to accumulate a lot of downloads is not artist of the month worthy. We still have a lot of extremely high quality artists to plow through
Everyone in this site has a hard on for "porno music," as my friends called it when I asked their opinion on most of the high quality ambient songs here. You know what, try actually picking Randor for example. What about Tinta !!! or SpoonPhase, their contributions this month were incredible! JAMMY MAN, OUR ROCK SECTOR, SUPER LEET CREW GUYS, ETHELION OMG
What about our leading film music composers that absolutely rock, michael law released a 2004 demo reel that no one reviewed yet I think.
Maor (aka Cloud) is one of the best, or probably the best trance producer on the site!! Yet no one knows about his incredibly professional song, since everyone has no perspective on music outside of this community. (OUTSIDE OF THE OLD SCHOOL TEAM ACTION FROM WHEN THE SITE WAS MADE, AND THE ARTISTS THEY SUPPORT)
And if we are talking about consistentently topping the chart, how about... WHIRLOOOP
That's what Synthetic Spirit Did, and dreamland is way more creative. The flash animation adds 1000 points and downloads. The EXTERNAL LINKAGE from other websites is absolutely HUGE, its not CTG huge, its deviantart/newgrounds huge!! Definetly not AOTM worthy,
Even PPH is under appreciated I think, mainly because the way he structures his sentences. Edzes, even though his producing techniques aren't super, is definetly one of the leading producers on the sites, and extremely creative. Now, that's for just good music ! SO WHAT ABOUT CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY!! I HEARD THAT IS ALSO A CRITERIA!

You know, I can name soo many artists that contribute way more, by these nubmers, I don't even think Buhis is part of the community. You could definetly interview awezoom with these numbers!
I know this may not be the place to post this complaint, SO IF ITS TOO OFFENSIVE, PLEASE DON"T DELETE IT, INSTEAD, MOVE IT TO SPAM OR SUGGESTIONS ADMIN.
Buhis, that one song IS very impressive, and HE IS A BETTER PRODUCER THAN ME AND is extremely talented. He made a great song, but it isn't CTG POPULAR, IT IS OUTSIDE LINK POPULAR. That song was posted a long time ago. Buhis doesn't contribute that much, and believe it or not, there isn't greatness in just ambient music, which seems to be the only credible genre here for some reason, softcore porno music for the most cases, for the others, great music. But ambient music comes in the same proportions of good to bad as every other genre!! Don't forget that!
NOW, I AM NOT ALL TALK, if this keeps up, With my pretty large experience in good music, I can't definetly point out way more deserving artists!!!!! I will interview them, and if the next interviews come late, I will pick it up right away!! (This month was fast though, I am not criticising any of the interviewing, very nicely done Analysis!)
So, who deserved AOTM so far?
ND - SUPER DESERVING, Great job!
Matthew Nite (Matthijs Breijer) - Improved a shitload, made some really nice songs in other genres and his heavilly desrving of it, almost got signed, and made hits. Huge contributor and popular.
Dimensioncrasher - Yes, but you are missing some other trance artists! Great contribution though, great guy. But still, I honestly believe there were more deserving artists during the period. (Whirloop, why not, and he has interesting stuff!)
troupe (Troupe Gammage IV) - Fantastic choice, nothing to say about this godlike producer of ambient. (Even though I think most ambient is extremely over rated here, most of it is easy to make, this guy, NIfflas and xerxes are huge exceptions. But I think spoonPhase and Tinta compete!!!)
anssi h (anssi hohti) - Yes, pretty good trance, but only godlike for the people who have heard the ctgmateur realm of trance. (sectionz.com has some serious competition, and stuff on subtraxx is really impressive) SectoidBLue (he's gone now, should have gave him it while he was here) Cloud is amazing, and Whirloop again. I think a98 really has to look at his trance, and not accept it the way it is. He has to sculpt his sound more, mix differently, and add a unique feeling. Also, the melodies have to be made with more confidence.
eos (Antony Raijekov)
Awesome, but again, ambience over-ratting action! Restaurant music! But some tunes are a lot more than that and are really cool. Next time you hear something you never heard before, pretend you did, and rate it not a 0, and not a 10.
xerxes (Klaus Lunde) - No comment, one of those ambient exceptions. Amazing producer, although some songs aren't incredible, some are. But the ones that aren't still get perfect ratings.
ObScene (Brandon Goins) - He improved so much, and during that time period, I remember, he was absolutely deserving. The most deserving practically, great person, extremely nice music, very unique and talented.
Void Pointer (Peter) - Yup, really good, but only his new stuff, I didn't think at the time he deserved it, but instead, at the time, maybe someone else! Very skilled nowadays, and if he didn't win it, he would deserve it now more than ever.
Nifflas (Nicklas Nygren) - My Favourite Ambient artist
Doriath & Wiseman (Ferenc & Sean) Neat projects, highly over-rated. Virgill I think is way better, (that's why he got artist of the year or something? Something is usually missing in that team duo, less when doriath does stuff alone. Go listen to some Jim Morrison please.
Anyways, how about mirriculum and others? Get rid of that interview and give them the AOTM!!! Like Randor! Others I suppose! PPH even I guess! Actually look at a song when you listen to it, and know what you like and ask if you actually like it, or is it some lame CTGhype. ALso ask, if its your friend, that's why you like it.
I'm out, for all you whiners that wanna call me an anti-CTG guy, you simply did not read my post, because I did praise a lot of people, who actually deserve it. For the people picking these sorts of things, please for the love of god, listen to more music, be more of a critic, and stop doing stuff with an attitude of "Let's get it done, woot, only 1 month to catch up." I'm out, if you need help, I'm passionate about helping! BYE

Fora Charlie, I can only say we wont award more staff members, that's principle now. Ofcource I'm flattered (wich was your aim  ) by your compliment but yet think its not deserved and agree there's plenty of really talented artists who deserve this award Undoubtedly some of them will be seen too
I understand your critic, that's welcome, and frustration too. Things doesn't always come as we except and vision strongly depends of your viewpoint. Buhis has bring a lot of attention and new visitors to CTG by his song and that's quite some contribution to community. Therefore criteria of participating is more than granted |

oceanseeker --> All the artists that you name are absolutly deserving artists. I know a lot more that have to be interviewed soon as AOTM, but we have to make a choice between lots of deserving artists, and we do that based on what a certain artists had for popularity on CTG. And buhis happend to rule the charts for the entire month with an incredible song.
