I actually love that song from buhis in de may CTG mix.. what was it called again? the one with the massive synths..

But why is he the AOTM of THIS month? Why it shouldn't be Awezoom, PPH, Gopher, Jammyman, CrazyMan, etc? Maybe this month the best artist for CTG has been TINTA, or any other. I used to like the time when you could vote. It was kinda fair.

Buhis is not artist of this month but artist of the January.
The fact is Buhis was most popular artist in previous month:

I agree that each month there are many options but still we need to pick just one so if the artist is standing up in a way i think this can be a good attribute for chosing him/her over others.
Good job Buhis, i think this is the right time when you should share some new songs

Well, I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve it. But maybe this award should be given to a more active member, that's all.

I agree with Oceanseeker, just because of Devian he became mega popular and that's kinda not fair imho.
But I want to congratulate you anyway, Buhis.   Let's not make this topic 1 big discussion wether this is a good choice of AOTM, just think how YOU would feel if you were in Buhis' place

First thanks to all for comments. I agree that I haven't been really active ctg-user. Everyone has their opinions about this choice and the way I reached it, and it's ok for me.
I've been making new songs recently, but I just haven't got them ready. And I don't want to release any songs before I'm statisfied with it. So you just have to wait

Congrats Buhis! Some very nice and well respected music in addition to your most famous Just because Buhis doens't review 100's of songs a month and doesn't spam us with new tracks every week doesn't mean he isn't a part of the CTG community. I myself am guilty of the same thing and I'd like to think I am still considered a part of this community.
However, I do agree that there are perhaps more deserving artists, and those that produce genres other than ambient (although that's my own genre, but I appear to be an exception to that rule (thanks oceanseeker )). I would like to see Cdnalsi as AotM! There's a genre you wouldn't expect to see on an electronic music site, and it's excellently produced. Gopher, PPH, and others are good choices as well. Many of my favorite artists have already been chosen, and I love this system and everything about it. I'm just giving suggestions and giving oceanseeker some support becuase I believe his points were valid (and I didn't see any negativity towards Buhis as others did, I thought oceanseeker was very mature in his disagreement). Once again, many congratulations to Buhis, another worthy artist of the month! |

btw: Just listening to 5000 mp3s on random. It just picked Astar's remix of "S.o.W.", then I added your original to the playlist and played it manually and then Winamp jumped to "Buhis - Eclipse"  Out of 5000.... coincidence?

well, the main reason why the voting option was deleted, is because ppl abused it and said the same names ten times a week.....
