Vizion is one of those giant sceners, man behind Ronin and Camomille for example. Read his interview ( link on Novus's apologize)
Novus: While I dont exactly feel being a part of tracker scene anymore I still consider we cherish the heritage of it here and in other indie musicians communities. Novus's apologee is needed imho, but why, oh why you have to do it so huge ? I still have feeling you boast up your own guts more than anything, cant avoid thinking that way. All this with kind spirit ofcource, I'm just a bystander for that here and won't need to argue with you. Just my thoughts wich came up while reading your apolgee and Vizions interview |

Novus: Nice of you to apoligy  . A lot of people should apoligy to you too for having said nasty things too. I know I have although I never said it directly to you. I wasn't really that mean either. I'm sorry though.
btw, I know the dude saw, and disagreed with the message itself as well, perhaps he could get a bit nasty if you say that "he didn't see that side of the coin". Well, not that I know
Anyways, try to forget all the things in the past, and don't take yourself too seriously. The scene is gonna stay alive, but it will change a lot. It's not in one persons hands anyway. Chill.

I can try Novus wanted a big change in the scene, so he started posting messages on boards 'n his site that was perhaps a bit too extreme. Sounded a bit like something an american preacher could say (which doesn't at all work around where I live). He should perhaps have expressed his opinions as what they were: opinions, not more (or less) important than any other's post at some forum.
I don't blame him, he's a good person and he really did this for a good purpose. However, he wasn't ready to face that everyone wouldn't agree, so he got quite angry. Actually, I don't agree with most things he say. An example about the manifesto: I do also accept donations, but my site will stay alive even if I never recieve a single $. If someone really loves my site, music 'n games, he should never EVER feel any guilt for not donating.
Also, I didn't like when he said that mp3's destroys the scene. Now we teach each other synth programming tricks on IRC instead of sharing the source of our songs. I must use the gear which allows me to create the music I want to. I like what the scene is becomming now, it is and must be allowed to naturally evolve. If everyone was to use xm's and it's only, half the scene would die, and that fast. If it becomes what it was before, count me out.
btw, before someone kills me: These are just my opinions, nothing more
Enough about that. I say he's a good person. If, and ONLY if the sun turns into a red onion, the moon becomes a raddish, and there are two thursdays in a week, I would hate Novus.
Fortunately, my music is much more interesting than my posts. |
