i voted cubase - mainly because over the past nine months i have been doing a Cubase Native Instruments course

tho before cubase - i tried Fast Tracker 2 (back in the days!) - i tried FL Studio - Tried - Reason all which where 'ok' - but cubase is my choice
Music creates order out of chaos: for rhythm imposes unanimity upon the divergent, melody imposes continuity upon the disjointed, and harmony imposes compatibility upon the incongruous. --Yehudi Menuhin :

IBut seriously. I don't even know how to produce a simple drum beat in cubase.

ROFL me too!! That goes for oll sequencers exept trackers. I have great respect for all who use those weird programs.

But the FL interface really f42ked me up.

lol :D That's like saying "I respect Chinese people for speaking Chinese" :eyebrow:

I use FL, simply because eJay wouldn't do it for me anymore back then :excited: And now I've spent too many hours using FL that I don't feel like learning any new programs plus it does everything I need for now

I'm using Ableton Live 4 now.
Before i used reason 2.5 and cubase. But i discovered the ease of use of ableton Live. It's just a lot quicker to use.

I use Cubase SX because I think it's easy to use with external synths and with the softwaresynths.

If I had a Macintosh I would have chosen Logic 6, which I think is the best sequencer on the planet.

It's sequencer works a lot faster and user-friendly. A lot of drag and drop functionality and the piano-roll is just super easy.
I't so easy arranging your tune.

Cubase, because it's as close to logic as I'll ever get (besides using logic itself).

I agree that one of the most important features for me is quickness of use. In renoise you can jot down your ideas so quickly it's amazing. I've heard that one of the downfalls of cubase is that it takes a long time to make things in it.

But one thing that I'm not happy with renoise is that I don't feel like I can take it on stage and trust it with a low latency as possible, midi-wise.
