Why not make a melodic mix? something alike that? And I dont mean trance melodic *shivers* Anyway, I guess the Tsunami compaliation disc is good for now.. At least, it's rather satisfying for me at the moment. The only mix I've heard that I've liked is the electronica mix.

I'm talking about the last trance remix ofcourse :) But uhm, trance doesn't change?

just listen to ferry's new and old album and talk to me again :)

Hmm but you gave me just one example :D . Heh, just kidding ;) . I still think that only several genres are developing, and definitely it's not a trance :P

Hmm.. Trance is a style which don't go forward, he's still the same. Melodies are changing, vocals, structure, but it's still using the same methods to build a melody, bass, beat etc. This kind is schematic... That's my opinion... :P

name me one or two genres that have evolved more in a such short period of time?
trance music has evolved more in 10 years than rock music has in 40 years..
and what about techno? it hasn't moved almost none in the last years...
and house music is rotating 80s and 70s house and disco trends in it..

listen to a trance-CD from a few years back, and then to a trance CD now. Trance is absolutely moving.

First suggestion - House, ambient, dnb, acid, trance, tekkno, etc belongs to TECHNO !! Noobs :P

Techno is a kind of music, and ambient, acid, trance... are genres. It is called - taxons (from biology too). Kind is upper than genre. Techno is not an acid, gosshh people try to understand that! Techno is the big kind of music which is build by more than 80 genres (don't count the mixes)!!

Second - commercial scene of music is only envolving, because people make them rush. People need to listen to something new, so artists create it. Good example - Benny Benassi (doesn't matter that his next songs are the same :) ). Trance (commercial/underground) is not envolving so fast. There is no demand for changes.. Only commercial music have to.. Ehh..

Underground artist is free with his imagination and creativity. He is making what he likes to. Nobody is influencing on him, so he is just going the same way, until he would change something in his music. The same is with the trancemakers...

I'm 20, also listening to music from 14 years, techno from 12. I'm really know what I'm talking about. Ok - it's only my right, and I know a lot of You are maikng this genre, so don't be so spice on me, I have my experience and I concluded that from my long observations.

Everything is only my humble opinion... Cheers :smoke:

Ambeam

I have to disagree with you there m8..

Trance, House, Hardstyle, D&B, Techno are all seperate genres of electronic or dance music IMO. Techno has got its own seperate genre.. Good examples of Techno djs would be guys like Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, UMEK, DJ Rush, Adam Beyer...

Lol.. And believe me the majority of techno purists hate been asociated with any other style of danceelectronic,,,

But then again, I understand that people from different countrys, backgrounds or whatever have their own ideas about what techno is..

Go check out some of these guys and 'techno' as a genre..

Well this is just my piece on it...

Anyway, the main reason why i was gonna post anyway is i got a CTG mix on the way, well thats as long as it gets the  from Ace.... Might be up soon..

Right im off for a

Yes, jazz is pretty restless category. Also funk and sort of fusions move fast. I presume ambeam messed trance and eurodance once again :) Euro is something almost as stable as rock :excited:

eh there wasn't even one word of truth in it, so i don't even wanna comment on that :)

i haven't listened much jazz, so i don't know how it has developed, but funk atleast still sounds the same than it was in the james brown era etc..

just that nowadays jazz and funk elements are combined to other music styles, but i wouldn't count that evolution of jazz or funk..

just my 28cents here,..
