so.. when you only make trance then you dont have a wide view? completely nonscence man.... I just happen to know that he listens to multiple genre's. Just like everyone else.

To have opened mind you should experiment with other genres. Then you would be able to create something yours. The most creative think is to do something own. Not to duplicate the patterns.

I'm still learning to find something new, and I think that I'll somewhen found it. Thats the point of view!

Well, I think it's a good thing if you're not so much into trance at this site. That way it's much easier to keep track of what's happening in your genres :) I mean who can download all of the trance tracks posted here every day... Like MN aka MB said it's hard to find the tracks you enjoy when there's just so much material :(

Good point, it'd probably really piss me off if there were 20 new experimental tracks every day!

I have to disagree. Repetition CAN be really creative. It's just that your view on music doesn't allow you to think that repepition is creative. We could talk about that for hours, but I dont think that it usuablt. All I ask for is a little tolerance and acception. I dont whine about RnB do I?

Why is something only your own when you experiment with other genre's BTW?

Hmmm... repetition and creativity :D Heh...

Why is something only your own when you experiment with other genre's BTW?

If you create something yours, not only by experiments with other genres. Just something, what wasn't on TV, radio, even on internet. And I'm not talking about experimental (genre) :D . Trance is creative, of course, but only in several events... Some of you have just polish up this genre, and nothing more.

I'm really sorry if my words have injured somebody, I don't mean that, but everyone have his own point of view. I disagree with you, and you disagree with me, thats normal :) . But sometimes I'm trying to improve my knowledge about something, this discoussion gives me alot of that, but I'm still thinking like before.

It's weird that you even don't see that there is alot of trance-makers (self-uncreativity :D ), and even that cause should say something to you.. If not.. hmm..

Cheers :smoke:

I choose to be uncreative if you will. Im writting trance because that is what i know best.
I could create some weird experimental thing(and i do sometimes), but why... to proove myself what? That Im creative? That I CAN writte stuff? Or to (diss)please people that listen to the experimenting genre in particular?

Why should I feel I should write ie. ambient song when Im rarely satisfied even with songs i do in genre i do best? I would most definitely do it worse in ambient. And if making music is taking my ideas out of my head, why should I do it in the way I don't really know, the hard way, instead of usual thing I 've done for years.

Why should I ditch the repetition, if I LIKE it. Simple as that.

If I'd jumped up and went correcting and writting complex songs instaed of repetitive ones I did till now because of someone said trance is too uncreative that way, I would to the very mistake Im being accused of. People like it. Will like it.... and you can do nothing about it but moan. :)

Not to mention I like to please people :) I like to be a bitch that sells his music taste :D ... sometimes :P

...and I forget what i wanted to tell.... ...

"The 'soul' of the machines has always been a part of our music. Trance always belongs to repetition, and everybody is looking for trance in life... in sex, in the emotional, in pleasure, in anything... so, the machines produce an absolutely perfect trance."

AmBeam, to me it seems you want to force a little musical snobbery on people. Why?

There are conservatives and progressioninsts. There are people who don't like weirdness in music, there are ones who are bored with existing styles. There are people who like simplicity, others appreaciate complexity, and there are ones who admire looking for completely new and shocking ideas and eccentric moves.

Go your own path and respect the choices of others.
:)

Ok, ok, you have right! But (heh like always :D ) I didn't mean that you should change your music or something. If you mean that, then I'm sorry.. I just wanted to say, that repetative couldn't be creative, it's deny itself. And that's all. I like your trance! I like whole trance, and I admited that.

I just always thought that artist should be creative..

Ok end of this disscusion..

Let's make childs, not war :D
