Hi!
I'm looking to make some funk songs but I need some samples & vsti's to add to my collection for it to come alive. What's your best tip?
First and foremost is needed:
* guitar vsti's. Free as commercial.
* A good wah effect
* kick ass funk drumkit, drumloops or drumsample
Thankfully yours,
1up

Amplitube has very nice wahwah effect.
There's a decent acoustic drum soundfont on hammersound, a JV1080 set I believe, that could work for funk

Yes, if you plug any guitar sound to amplitude it just blooms with greatness I might have a nice sample cd for you, it's just over 600 mb

You could actually sneak a pretty bad guitar thru actually.
The key is the "wah" effect and to gate the chords quickly to get slaps.
I know a very good bass ROMpler, broomstick bass VSTi. that is capable of playing
some nifty funk slaps and bass riffs on its own, but its fully programable too, so you can do it yourself.
