I would recommend getting a sampler that is able to import the formats being used during that time. Open up a module with the sound you want in modplug for instance, save it as .xi, and import into let's say virtual sampler (i think that one supports .xi).
You could also create same leads with just about any other subtractive synth. The samples were generated using synths during that time aswell, you know.
Try using minimoog or any other Arturia software replications of classic hardware synths.

The actual c64 style arpeggiator can be simulated with most VSTi's (for example Synth1 which is free, and so amazing everyone must have it)
1: Create a mono or legato lead.
2: Amp ADSR: Instant attack, no decay, maximum sustain, instant release.
3: Now run an arpeggiator at "up" mode, at a very very high speed. Gate time must be 100%
If you did it right, you can play this as a normal lead, but as soon as you hold down multiple notes it starts arpeggiating like a C64.

A friend of mine has a HardSID, the ultimate "emulator". Quadra VSTi is in my opinion the best virtual C64 emulator

Well, yeah. I agree with Void Pointer, but let's not forget that what the author of this topic is searching for is "amigaish" sounds.
Combine what i said earlier, with a bitreducer, and you're ready to go;)

As usual I tend to miss the focus a little with my topics. I'm looking for Amiga sounding leads but would rather have them in full beautiful jummy sound quality of 24 bit / 96 khz. But your suggestion is a very good one to get certain sounds I'm familiar with. But I'll look into your other suggestions aswell.
I've tried Quadrasid but the sounds are so harsh and overcompressed on the settings I can barely like them.

As usual I tend to miss the focus a little with my topics. I'm looking for Amiga sounding leads but would rather have them in full beautiful jummy sound quality of 24 bit / 96 khz. But your suggestion is a very good one to get certain sounds I'm familiar with. But I'll look into your other suggestions aswell.

Why is Amiga confused with C64 here?
C64 and Amiga had totally differend sound chips, that worked in totally different way. If you're searching for Amiga sounds you can just use old 8-bit samples in a tracker. Amiga had no really individual sound, it's the C64 that had this synth built-in.

Yeah, just get all those .mod files from modarchive, they're mostly made on Amiga I guess.
