I listen to all words about my music, but only care about the
mastering aspect of the review. The music itself, is usually
as I want it to be, or as good as I myself can do it.

Mastering is usuall never as I want it.. :p

does any of you find the strength to do rework of a song after it has got a bad review? I mean, you sit down and make a song or whatever you call it and liten to it over and over while mastering it, and then, after (hours of) upload someone tells you that you should do this or that? well, will you? :crap:

I dont go back... I use previews to certain people I trust, as a source of feedback, prior to release. If I get a bad review, providing its constructive - I can take that onboard for future productions. I use the philosophy of 'CAN'T POLISH A TURD' lol :D

I gather the feedback while I'm working on the track, asking my mates if there's
anything they miss, if intention is clear, if that bass isn't too soft coz after seven
thousand listens it's hard to focus on the actual sound of your track ..
The track slowely grows and grows and is released when I'm as happy with it
as I'll ever be.

but the feedback I get afterwards (ie: when it's online or wotever) I use only for
future tracks, stuff I'll take into account next time I try something similar ..

I hate looking back at tracks I´ve "finished" as it somehow seems to slow down
the progression. Get that stuff out of my system and move on. Better or worse
things may happen but it all ends up being a small nail in the learning curve.

Yeah, but that philosophy only works if the music itself is bad. I never changed the structure of the tracks I remade. I might have added some voices, but the music was almost the same. I only changed samples and effects. I find it a shame when people criticize a piece of music just because, say, reverb is bad.
From Darkness To Light, my newest track.

A finished song is a finished song. It would have to be a brilliant composition to be really worth remaking and having more that 1 version. :) So far, I haven't managed to compose anything like that.
