Benchmarking time! :) Benchmarking is a way of getting better. By in this case listening to the composers/producers that are the best of the best in their field. So it can serve as a means of taking a shortcut to learning.

What are your top names? With fresh and fashionable music I mean the kind of music that make people feel cool for example. Music that fortune 500 companies die for to have in their commercials 'cause they give the product a high quality and hip profile. This kind of music often associates with high-end design.

Would mean a lot.

/1up, Aspiring hip producer lol :)

Sonus, of course.

I thought it goes without saying!

:D

Seriously though...in the US, many commercials simply use old school/classic/and even contemporary rock songs. Lately I've heard Steppenwolf (albeit a fatboy slim remix), U2, and Queen among others. I also heard a BMW commercial with Prodigy's new track, "Hotride". Besides that, you have many nondescript hip hop beats type beats in the background of music - probably by well known producers by I can't place the track. It's never dance type music though.

Well, the DrumNBass Scene has had some good years in the commercialscene.
But that might be over now.
