I find myself often playing around with string samples in my songs, but I feel I should have a few more of these instruments to play with. I use Renoise to the composing, so the samples should be in wav/xi/rni format and of course in high quality (16bit, 44kHz).

I feel like I don't have the perfect pad/string instrument, either it's acoustic (like in orchestral/soundtrack) or electronic (like in ambient/tehno). Anybody out there who could help me in my search for the perfect string? :lovemusic:

:) If you don't like either acoustic or electronic string what do you want? :)

I guess you're after a blend?

Renoise can handle vsti's, right?

Atmosphere by Spectrasonics have some very nice string samples. Both accustic and synth. It's a 3 GB library and not free, but could be a choice. PM me if you have any further questions.
