Sorry guys, but I've decided to leave ctgmusic.com, because of some things that happened.
For those that are interested, here's what happened.
In the past 3 weeks, i've submitted 5 songs. These songs were carefully chosen, as they are also on MODPlug.com. I've ofcource got reviews on modplug aswell, so i picked the better songs from modplug.com
On the following songs: Step Forward and When the rain falls, i recieved a very low rating. I reported both as being bad. The one on step forward has being accepted, but the one on When the rain falls hasn't.
Let me enlighten why this has made me more than angry...

So to say, If i get such good comments on MODPlug, how come the artist can rate me a 3.5?
because of this, no one wants to review my song anymore, and im ruined because of that.

Well, I think you're making a terrible mistake here, but anyway...
The fact is that a review states the reviewer's point of view, you can disagree with the review, but you can't make anyone change his mind. There's no rule saying "If a song received a great rating on other sites, you can't rate it low on CTG.". Try to think if you would leave ModPlug if someone disliked your song there. If I were you I wouldn't mind that much about one review out of five songs, even though one thing is for sure - this song won't get downloaded nor reviewed, because of the low rating it received  . But is it really a good reason to get off from the comunity? I personally don't think so. Ratings are not the most important things in the world after all.

I agree with DDspeed.
1. Ratings aren't the most important thing in the world
2. Reviews express the opinion of the reviewer. You can disagree with that, but that doesn't mean that it's going to be removed.
(in the end, this site usually give good ratings too good pieces. Now, I"m going to listn to you songs when I got time, (tomorrow) and I"ll give them a review and rating. I don't know if it will make you happy though.

I'll check back from time to time, and if things indeed have changed, i might come back again.
But for now, im too angry. (note, im angry for about 3 days now... this is not good. i need to step away, atleast for a while.)

Well, I'm not saying your music is bad (to be honest I didn't even listen  ), but when I still released on modplug.com I got massive positive feedback on my VERy crappy .it songs. I moved to CTG, and the same happened to me. I got low ratings, but consructive critism aswell. You can't learn from only positive feedback, you won't notice if you are doing something wrong.
And sorry to sound so rude, but I think you are not very pursuying if you leave after a few "bad" reviews. If you'd just stay longer you would've build up a reputation. That equals more downloads/reviews (and that's the only thing you seem to be aiming for, popularity right?).
Well, I can't force you to stay. If you don't like it here and you want to leave I can only say bye.

The only thing im aiming for is feedback.
In this case, the song got only one bad review and a bad rating. As conclusion, people won't download the song and won't give me feedback AT ALL!!!!
I don't care about being popular. I want people to listne to my music and tell me what they think.

It would've been best to just ignore the opinion of one single person in this whole world. Everyone is different, and everyone has a different opinion and music likings. If someone on this world tells you that he doesn't like you, will you leave this world and kill yourself? No, you will swallow that and keep on moving with life.
I just think that leaving the community because of one single rating is overreacting. We could wait and see if other people like that song (please, hereforth, if you're going to review that song, be objective and don't overrate it to "balance" the total rating, be honest). If things don't get better then what the hell, remove that song. Try your luck with another one. That's life.

CTG is a harsh place in terms of reviews, people will bash you for being experimental, different or if you're using a program which in their opinion sucks.
Now, CTG would be a horrible place (and WAS a horrible place) to be
if you couldn't fend yourself against this type of harrassment, reporting reviews
and clearly stating WHY the review isn't a valid one is a good start.
Also discussing this with other members and seeing if they agree with you
is another good start aswell. Whenever I see a crappy review, I do report it
and I checked around a bit on your songs and found one clearly bad review, which i summarily reported aswell.
CTG has something which other sites around the scene doesn't have,
good reviews, but of course it has it's share of numbskulls trying to get
their version of a "review" through the system. Now, if we stand together and
battle them with the help of the admins, yes, there might be a way to
get this place into better shape, but it's too early to give up just now.
There are alot of intolerant people here, which can't accept that sometimes a
song is meant to be different, just take a look at Cannibal Death's music
for instance, and the reviews they got. They made an experimental song which was
only ten seconds long, and everyone went "OMFG, morons! idiots! how can you
call a ten second clip a SONG?" this kind of reaction is what I want to
fight here. I want people to respect other people's songs, even if they
challenge the common notions of what is considered "music".
So LPChip, don't leave just yet, stay and fight the good fight, those
of us who give a fuck, we need all the help we can get!
