How come people can give me this advice without having heard my music???
Perhaps you alter your vision after hearing it...
EDIT: Some that heard the song also think its not entirelly fair. and they say that part of the rating includes: not liking the genre... :s

Well no.
The only thing im aiming for is feedback.
In this case, the song got only one bad review and a bad rating. As conclusion, people won't download the song and won't give me feedback AT ALL!!!!
I don't care about being popular. I want people to listne to my music and tell me what they think.

Unfortunately you're right here, songs with low rates won't get downloads at all .
But well, that's just the cas when using number ratings-system. That's why Cooth and a few other people (including me) are against number ratings, but as we all know the numbers help making charts and a few other things, we just go on living with that.

you cannot please everyone with music, its impossible. how i work the review system, if more than one person says "the kick needs more umph" then i'll alter it, but to alter the tune everytime someone says anything about it, its stupid.
like Espen S you have a couple of reviews at 7+ be greatful!! i've not had a review over 6 since i joined ctg, but at the end of the day, the rating system, the charts, they all mean shit to me at the end of the day, i only pay attention to the text which is in the reviews, not the pretty little stars, after all its the feedback which matters.
Music creates order out of chaos: for rhythm imposes unanimity upon the divergent, melody imposes continuity upon the disjointed, and harmony imposes compatibility upon the incongruous. --Yehudi Menuhin :

I'm having a hard time with your explanation. And I blame you for having a rather childish point of view even.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm being straightforward and honest about my opinion here, but it seems to me you're having a hard time with the fact that you can't please the whole world with your music. Well, let me tell you, it's impossible.
You're here for the feedback. I've checked the review on your track "When the rain falls" which is fine. It doesn't matter if the reviewer doesn't like it or not. Yes it will affect the rating but it IS feedback, you can't act as a spoiled kid blaming someone for giving you what you wanted can you?
If anybody gives his point of view and is able to back it up with good arguments you can't do shit about it. What your actually saying here is: I don't agree with someone's point of view, so he is not allowed to think about my music that way.
Maybe you should include: "Rate my music only if it's a 7+ rating"
Think about it.

I honestly don't see the point in leaving this site for the reason you mentioned. It's not the site that gave you the low rating, it was a person. I haven't listened to the song in question, so I don't know if it was underrated (according to my taste of course) or not, but one thing I like about this site compared to many other sites is that the share of "kind" reviewers (raters) comparatively isn't too big (ok, so there's lots of them still), which means that the feedback will be a bit more relevant.
If you're leaving this site because of this review, you are escaping one (and potentially more) person's opinions. If you only want to hear from the people who like your music, fine, but it's not a balanced view you will get, and I don't see how your ego can benefit from strategic choices between sites depending on how kind the average reviewer is, when you know there are people with other opinions who frequent other sites.
My suggestion is to cheer up, stick around, and don't care too much about what other people think about your music. As you already mentioned, there are people who really like it. Then it shouldn't be a problem to accept that there are people who don't like it either. If it is, I'll be so bold as to suggest that you just might be making music for the wrong reasons.

Hmm, I remember people deleting and re-submitting tracks here just to get rid of a bad review that wasn't deleted... I agree the rating is pretty harsh but eventually things will even out after some time (6 days are surely not enough for that), and by that I mean the artist rating and probably also the song rating).
Ah well, everbody who ever opened a topic about leaving this site eventually came back or never actually left, so I'm not worried about that part
