Heya people, just checked out some of the latest reviews, and boy was that a
horrible sight! People writing stuff like "this song sucks because it's tracked"
or even worse "this song is a piece of shit" , also I saw a bunch
of songs rated with 9.5 and 9.0 ratings which were "absolutely perfect"
.... and so I decided, that from now on I'm going to divide my attention
from just writing reviews into reporting faulty ones aswell, I encourage everyone
who writes reviews to also from time to time check the ten or twenty latest
reviews and just check if they follow the overall guidelines.
Now, most reviewers screw up one time or another, that's fine with me!
It only goes to show that they're human and not robots, but some reviewers had such a bad review record that I'm wondering if there should be a "report bad reviewer" button
feature tacked onto CTG soon 
Well, I hope it's just a sudden surge of bad reviewing that I've come across, but
if this is a new trend we're facing, it would be better to disband the charts and
rating system altogether than let it rot like this.

Reviewing is not about giving a high rating to someone you like or to nuke someone you dislike but it is all about you beïng honest as an artist. My account here is a few years old and is was not inactive, i was lurking and what i see is not good. People must be more carefull when it comes to wite a review. You can easily say something that can really hurt someone. You don't want something like that on your hands.
Write a review or comment like you are writing it to your own. When a piece of work suck's, it suck's but so not ever say it that way. Say how it could be better. Point out the strong parts and point out the weak parts. You'll help will be more appriciated then. |

As reviewreport moderator, I also have seen this alot.
I´v tried to explain to ppl, but trust me, I get more bu´s then
yeah´s. The One thing I reallY want to change, is that the
FIRST review off a track, should be long, full off Quality & crtitics.
Certainly the 1:st review on a track. Im gonna be very very hars
on all 1:st reviews reported.  |

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes to have the "reviewer of the week"
system still going, sure it's a nice way to give back to the reviewer for his or her efforts.
But I think that alot of reviews are written purely for this purpose.. and that's wrong in my book.

The best reviewer ever.. told me my music was the best he ever heard and rated all my songs a straight 10.
too bad he got terribly injured in a fight with other reviewers.

I agree totally with John Marwin.
And Reviewer of the Week should be renamed to "The reviewer who reviewed most tunes this week".

this part you were being funny right? You dont really mean you think everybody should just rate them a 10 because mr know-it-all marwin thinks the song is "absolutely perfect"?
or maybe i didnt understand this correctly.
