To get your music heard is not easy, even if it is very good and free. There are tons of producers out there who would like to get attention, like you (or me), and all do something to achieve it. So, that's what you have to do also.

I suggest to be active in sites, forums, a few which you consider fine, and not just on ctg. People will recognise you, and your name will be well known. But don't spam every forum you find, it can couse more problems than positive things.

Being active in more sites does not mean you should spam your tracks. I think it is more valuable to get known, such as a good introduction post on a new forum about you and your goals, and valuable replies to others' posts (who will recognise you for sure). So more you are known as a person, it is more likely your music will be heard.

And of course this is true also inside ctg. Active on forums, reviews and other things certainly help. Contact people, talking to them, get friends, their friends, etc etc.

Ctg has many advantages like it is now, but also consider its dissadvantages. Some people are afraid of checking tracks on a free music community because of previous quality experience. It is the admins here who have to ensure that ctg is considered as a good resource for free music. It might be a good idea for you to also build up your own website with a proper domain of course. Some people might check artist site more than a community.

Well,

If you are active on another forum, try to put some CTG-links in your signature. That is, without spamming, the easiest way wo attract people.

I am an moderator on a forum and i putted the main URL of CTG in my signature. I also placed my profile-URL there. It is that easy.
