I saved up some money and bought it!!! Plus the game 'Yoshi Touch and Go' to experience all the new technologies. It rocks!!!
I plan to buy some GBA games too, 'cause they are supported. And a bag.

PSP rocks.
Playing Shining Force 2 on it seems rather nostalgic actually.

I'm trying to sell my GBA. I'm not going to buy DS, though. Consoles are a waste of money when you have so many other things to buy... (anyone remembers the "Post your dream equipement" thread?)
Don't get me wrong, I love handheld consoles .

Consoles make very good gifts though.

The biggest problems with most consoles I find is that a new game for it costs more than I would get for selling it with my two games...
Games for pc in Poland are very cheap. Many newest great titles show in shops at a price of 30 zlotys, which gives 8 EUR.

Handheld console was my dream since childhood. I never owned even a balck and white Game Boy. As time passed, my parents, knowing my passion for video games, bought me a Color GameBoy as a present. However, at that time it was the era of GBA and soon games for GBC were out of stocks. Besides, I knew it was past generation of consoles.
So this time I used my own money to buy a modern, new, thrilling console, when all the game developers only start writing games for it... Now that's real stuff!!!

| I haven't had anything handheld since game&watch was the thing. I like how the DS kind of reminds of those days, with the fold and everything. |

Sure, thats definitely true. Which is why I'm using mine mostly to play stuff through an emulator.
Shining Force 2 looks quite neat on the PSP screen. I might even have to get a PC/DOS emulator for it just for things like Wacky Wheels.

When I got 'Yoshi Touch And Go' and played it a bit, I thought the game was more like a demo of what Nintendo DS is capable of. However, as I continued playing it, I found the game to be excellent and real addictive. It is very different from any other game I've played for the reason it uses no buttons, but touch screen only. The booklet gives a wrong impression of the game, I think. When I read the instructions, I thought it was a simple game. I was wrong.
As you proceed, the levels become harder, more interesting, a variety of enemies not introduced in the booklet appeared. There are no actual levels, you can go on forever, but this requires a lot of skill. There are parts of levels designed, but they go in random sequence. Not too random, though - the farther, the harder. Pretty soon the impression of a simple children game fades away, you understand that there is much more to it.
I also bought some GBA games which can be played with the Nintendo DS system too. It was a good decision from Nintendo - I got my fav games: Super Mario World, the Lost Vikings. Both games rock, especially the Vikings
