Hi Ace..
Nice program, But what kind of soundcard would be recommended for use with Project5?
I only got a Soundblaster PCI 16 soundcard, would that be enough to recording midi and such..
btw.. What kind of soundcard do you use?

this is quite probably the 'new reason', all sounds very promissing with lots of more supprt than reason and seems to be capable of same things...

what i most like about it are, the full support for vst plugins from instruments to effects, and also a support to rewire reason. Also what makes this one better or lets say easier to use then some cubase or sonar or logic is the really lovely interface which looks almost as good as reasons.
For me it is "all about" the interface .

Well, maybe I will give this Project5 a chance, I'm gonna download the trial version and try it out. maybe eaven quit using skale tracker if I can get the full version of Project5... It looks so nice, and it can do better things than skale tracker...
You see, the poor thing about skale is that the VSTi option will be added but it isn't added yet.. So the only sound files we can use until next skale release is xi & wave samples. + the quality is better with Project5, not the best with skale because of thoses bad xi files.
This is just my oponion, maybe Im wrong..

OKay, Im trying out Project5 at the moment, and I would like to try making a song... It's not easy to use.. very difficult for you, if you haven't tried any other programs like Project5, such as Cubase, Reason before. My problem at the moment is how to edit the pattern(s) you can make in Syncron 32 into the track, there is nothing about that problem in the help instructions...
Plz help og give me a suggestion!
Cheers

I have project 5, and I really regret it . It's slow, way too complex and an almost total reason clone.... If anyone want's more information about project 5 (full, not demo) feel free to mail me...... |

Yes randor. I downloaded a little software 'project5toreason". It's a tool that get the two programs compatible with each others devices. Then I tried rewire. Man, Project 5 is awfully slow. with anything. Even with midi inputs I get at least 1/4 second delay. And I'm not the only one with that problem. The software itself is just slow. Forget it if you want to play some real time melodys with it. I will tell you something more about the software. Project 5 is delivered with a sample disc. Very good sample, but very less!!!! Compared to the reason sounbank, the project 5 soundbank is nothing (in quantity). The interfase of the program is very complex. But I understood it after a few days. But anyway, the sequencer is bad. The grid and snap options are not working well.
The program has some standard effects like delay (p5 call it echo), reverb,.... A good point is that you can import new effect plugins (vst). Exept that, p5 has nothing more then reason 2.5.
But I haven't used it that much to say it's a bad program. Hope we'll get some more reactions.... |
