You can host your own music on your own computer, then use something like JukeFly as a server.
They do real-time transcoding of your ogg/flac/mp3/itunes/wma using LAME underneath to stream your music to a browser.
It's using Adobe Flex on the front end, Ruby on Rails on the back end (if anyone cares).
Basically though, you can host your own music on your own system, it'll do UPNP to forward port 5235 on your router for you and you are set.

It's working really well for me, anywhere I go. I have DSL at home 6mbit down 768kbit up.
