Hi everyone!
I'd like to ask you what's the best program to play OGG files for Windows and Linux. I tried with three programs (XMMS, Kaffeine, and Winamp) and I felt that Kaffeine was better than the other ones. If you know other programs, can you tell me what are the best ones for both the systems, please?
Thanks

| It's more about personal preference than what is "best" IMO. |

The best for OGG files? What is the difference between them? Just run Winamp and don't use filter. Ogg/mp3/wav everywhere sounds the same, there is just human imagination which makes them different..

I use XM Play on Windows and XMMS and MPD on Linux.
To my knowledge most or all players use standard vorbis library (or some layer for it) for decoding OGG vorbis encoded, which basiaclly means they all do it the same way. So sound quality-wise there won't be any difference as far as I know. About which one is the best - just try them all out and see if any of them fits your needs and is simpler and more comfortable to use by you then the other ones.

Trackers At Work
My friend Ethelion made a special kind of band with many artists like Jammyman, Storm3003 or Pluks or XnmE! (idea ripped from obScene )

Xmplay for president! ..errr. I mean.. Denis för president!... errr... yeah
ontopic:
denis is 100% correct, there isn't a difference in soundquality, unless the
player has some sort of "filter" option, which of course might screw things up
a tad. I would recommend Xmplay for both linux and windows.
(xmplay isn't out for linux just yet, but it's in the works)

Really?
As far as I know there's a big problem because XM Play uses a lot of windows-only stuff which makes it hell to port it to Linux, so the devs recommend using Cedega to run it (which sucks). Or am I wrong?

It can. I think you need a plugin though. It's available on XM Play support site
