... since I've had any real contact with the scene, so here it goes:
omghi2u!
Think it's about time that the old "tracker"-scene gets more focus than the pro-scene. Pro-scene is just so full of selfish, egoistic singleminded idiots, with absolutely no real passion for music whatsoever.

Just wanted to say that I think I'll spend some more time here, it's just that much more interesting than anything else music-related, plus this is a nice place all in all (acecream, u rox!)

hey!
it's been a while indeed..
how you're doing?
so what's happened to make you think like that? (the proscene thing that is)
it's been a while since your last release too (Cruentus), or have a missed something?

I'm good
Well, the banter doesn't really come from bad experience, the pro-scene is just shallow and single-minded, and if you ask me, the A&R's and the other idiots who decide what to release, need some teaching.
Whatever happened to melodic? Why did progressive, especially progressive house(!) get so popular? DJ-Mag's #1 Tiësto, and the millions of his disciples who thinks, that whatever he plays, must be upfront, is to blame
Not that I dislike progressive, but the big change came with the snap of his fingers, and Tiësto is just an example. Basicly, there's just so much crap out there, and the "bedroom" musicians generally are much better musicians than whatever you hear on Radio1 etc.
And yes, it's been a while since cruentus, but that's generally because I got tired of producing for a while, and right now, I just dont feel like releasing stuff. It doesnt really matter, dont ask me why
Im just glad to have found a scene with a REAL community, contra the pro-scenes community, which is basicly non-existant. (omgthx2u edzes for speaking me into it, you god damn norwegian mountain-monkey O.o)

Well, Randor, that's my exact point
You don't find the love and passion for music in such great amounts, as you do in places like this. Ofcourse, there's a lot of daddy-dj-wannabe's here too, but everything is just so different, and to be honest, I don't really fit in and feel about pro-scene the same way I do with these kind of communities.

I"m sad that you feel like that. I agree on your progressive point, I dont like the style either. Progressive usually bores the shit out of me.
I dont agree with your negative standings towards the 'pro-scene' however. Trance still exists, and although its a little smaller then it used to be, there still are great and awesome songs out there..
Ever heard of 'Gabriel and dresden ft. Molly - tracking treasure down'?
It took a while, but : It's a new release! (3535 hits) |
