i think the combination beetwen cooth and szartds idea would work best.
Like there would be a button beside each review called like "report bad review" and then person in charge for monitoring would get message about it and he/she would give a "penalty" to user who wrote the review and the review should be edited or in worst case removed.

I think that is the best way yes ,
and I think the penaltie thing can work out ..... ace and me are experienced enough to notice if a review is really bad or wrong .

Or we gotta do something or nothing , but not somethign between .

Why not give a rating to review

Haha, even better: a review to each review! Then the review of the review could also be reviewed, and then the review of the review of the review and so on and so forth. :) Wouldn't that be fun? After a year everyone would forget what the site is actually about. :D

I don't think that should be shouldered by two people. No matter how experienced you think you are, you can't possibly pretend to understand every single song on this site and that's why a large community reviewing system can work. Otherwise it's just a circle-jerk around songs that you and acecream enjoy.

I still think numbers on the reviews are pointless and that you guys should adopt a simple thumbs up or thumbs down system.

You got it!! That's what I ment, when system is messy enough none of us will remember what's up this all about nad forget complaining.

My point is no matter what kind of system exists, I always appreciate some reviewers a way more than others. System itself can't change fact we like and understand music different way. Ofcource we can cut off crappy ones, like obvious overratings and revenges, just to keep system reliable for downloaders. Best serve for musicians ( at least for me) is honest and constructive critic, no matter scores...;)

Now u are all over reacting a little bit ..

Th epoint is that I want to keep the ratings (the numbers) , and if I am rigth so do Ace ....

The idea is :

Each review will have a button "Report bad reviews" , people can push it when they think a review is crappy , then Ace AND me will get a message when the button is pushed , and we will BOTH take a look and then decide to give a penalty or not .

Nobody has said something about monitoring BEFORE the review appears on the site , or reviewing a review or whatever .

I guess it is better to take this topic more serious and read what people say .

Sorry for again sound like some fucker , but it is just the way it is ....

So please share your opions about the CURRENT plan ...

The CURRENT PLAN sounds good to me with the exception of penalties (or better to say, the penalty should be removing the review and send a message to the reviewer) and with a suggestion that bad reviews should be discussed in a wider forum, AT LEAST in the transition period. I hope I was serious enough. Lol.

Oh c'mon, don't be that strict. We're just a buch of people who, apart from serious discussions, like some add-ons here and there. We're not at school, this is all about leisure activities, let's make it leisure, why be too serious. ;) I wrote about the reviews of reviews coz i found it a slightly amusing yet abstract idea. Sorry if my intention was not clear. You can be sure it was not a bad one.

The serious part of the discussion is rather clear and I back it if the ratings are to stay. Well maybe i'm just not 100% sure there should be just two people deciding whether a complaint makes sense or not (don't take it personally, I don't question your experience, i just think it may cause some doubts in objectivity, especially when someone is involved in a certain controversy, hence remaining under the inluence of emotions). On the other hand, I realise you don't want to create a whole wide staff for consulting those decisions. Hmm - maybe complaints should be public for example...? What do you think...?

btw. Szartd, I assure you I read all the posts when i take part in a discussion.

Hello wake up guys !

READ READ READ

THERE WILL BE A "REPORT BAD REVIEW BUTTON" ....
The only thign ace and me will do is take a look if there is somethign wrong with a review .... if we are not sure we will ask more people ,
but I am not talking about a review must have a rate 7 instead of the 8 it has got .
No I am talking about 3 lines review saying "yeah great , the best I heard" and after that a rate 9 or even a 10 .
When it is questionable for ace and me we will ask others.
But it is not monitoring in the advanched way u guys think nopw , it is just a quick overlook for the desiscion THE ONE MADE WH:laugh: O PUSHED THAT REPORT BUTTON !

Hehehe .... very much lol !
