Oh sure it is. You know that too....

So who is gonna determine the prices then ?
You, me, God ? Hmmm, well?

I'm not quite sure I'm following you but, the market determines the price governed by supply and demand.

People demand a shallow song with a vocalline easy enough to understand
even with six tequilas and xtc, repetitive beat so even grandma can clap along
and by god it needs this special dance so discokids know what to do, even after
all the tequila. Does this result in music? No, but that's how the market works.

I know what you mean. Crazy Frog can make you insane. But seriously, the market wants what the general public wants. The general public wants music that speak a language they understand. That is, straightforward music with a steady beat, repetetive structure and with a easily understandable/graspable message like you wrote.
Once we know how the world works though, we can use it to our advantage. If we want to make music with massa appeal, we can use the trans-continent language of sex/anal stadium humour or the like.
I strongly believe that music is communication. We simply have to make music that is easy to "read" if we want success. And thus we are back to the above points. It's still music though.

I'd pay for a new bass, Joemeek ThreeQ pre-amp, Echo Mia-Midi soundcard and Shure SM series mic.

I'd pay for more research to be performed by medical professionals into the human ear with a view to one day creating a procedure that can restore lost/damaged hearing at a cost that is open to everyone above the poverty line (gotta be reasonable, I guess).

hmmm.. then still.. music is not a product, it's a way of communication,
which aint worth a goddamn penny but costs as much as you want it to cost

I'd get myself piano and guitar lessons. Improve on the piano, learn the guitar.

You can't sell a means of communication? I wonder what my good ol' tele is then...
