Hey everyone!
I love some of the music here at ctgmusic.com and have picked up on some good advice.
Knowing that music has many reasons for existence, I ask myself, in what way are we using it as a means to change mentalitys, and while we are at it the world? I for one am growing tired of seeing people die on TV and wondering when it will happen in my neighbourhood.
So if you consider that your music is entertaining as well as politically charged, please post the link to that song here, I want to listen to what you have to say, in what ever form you use... words can't say it all... Action is needed.
Is Iran next? What about Guantanamo?

You can bet that allot of music makers want to put some message into their music, but I think that some genres are limiting you to only doing it indirectly or not at all.
Like Denis says, most genres can have a message (or feeling) of peace and unity, but it can't really be "no to war" or "the capitalist system is inhumanitarian". No one wants to go to a club to be preached.
On the other hand, I compose and play in a punk rock band, where political lyrics are very accepted. So with this outlet, in my electronic music I'd rather express emotions or states of mind.

Well my music try to give some political messages. Concerning to the first message... yes! you're giving me one reason to spam a little bit! Pluks - Unfair.
I think it's important to communicate through music and if politics is one of your main thoughts you must include it in your messages.
EDIT: I forgot to say that there's not a genre for each ideology. You can express through ambient, chillout, hiphop, punk, ect. with whatever message. I mean, I've heard some punk love songs and I've made very political ambient songs. It's the way you compose or express your feelings what matters. Is heavy metal always rude? Are trance-makers always ? Are rappers always ppl with the highest rate of self-steem? I don't think so. You simply use your music to express yourself and show your feelings/thoughts to the world. The code is not important, the important thing is the concept behind it.

I released an EP on BK-Recordings a year ago or so called "Operation Cartoon
Terrorism" which is a silent and cynical roar against the human paranoia.
Not really politically charged in one sense, though it is well known that feeding
people fear is a way to exploit power.. but uhm, thought I'd mention it.
"Despite all the explosions, porngroove warfare, fantastic plastic playground of
unspeakable horrors and the not to be underestimated amounts of destructive chipninjas in a kitchenblender, I asked doctor Fluff to accompany me on a journey
through time and space as television unleashed its terror upon the weak and wreaks havoc inside the soul of every child. It is an army, a legion, an everlasting force of
the imaginative, yet lethal minds that spawn the insanity, the true dementia, the
pure output of our fantasy-filled worlds, infested with the need to feed upon our
friends and family, neighbours, classmates, partners, people .. Unleash your true
desires and feed upon your loved ones, eat your children. Do your homework.
Create a monster. Wreak some havoc. Destroy the world.
I'm always trying to tell something with my music, be it in a political sense or just
a random tale, or even reflecting on my own life. Music works great for me if I want
express an emotion, thought or statement.

but on Yomi, you have an EP (if I remember right by Vowthorn?) which is called "operation denial" or something... and it's political.

And funkyness
Like an instrument for a song
Like the sun for tomorrow’s dawn
Every moment of time’s just an answer to find
What you’re here for, what you breathe for
What you wake for, what you bleed for
