I'd walk up to Thom and ask "Mr. Yorke, what strange instruments do you plan on using in the next Radiohead album?"
"You are what you is" - Frank Zappa |

Well, when I get them into the pub (1 - Lord Wallace has the right idea... not to mention it's customary over here; 2 - I can't restrict myself to a single composer I'll say to the first one:
"You did a real good job with the Band of Brothers, but I think that thing you did with Metallica wasn't such a good idea; what possessed you to do that?"
To the second:
"You Japanese are taking over the world. How the heck do you do it?"
And to the last (well, this isn't a question, but a conversation starter):
"I bet you were raking it in with George Lucas."

I'd ask Michael Romeo and the rest of Symphony X what percentage of their original music actually makes it to release.
"I call architecture Frozen Music" - Goethe
"I hate music, it's got too many notes" - the Replacements
"Composers are always too quiet on their days off" - Mystic Ark
"Everything has been done, but not by me. Not yet." - Anonymous
"Let thy instrument tell us the thoughts of thy heart that words cannot express." - Chrono Cross

Hm. I would ask my favourite musician, let it be STING, let it be Paul Mc Cartney or Bobby McFerrin:
"Do you think it's fair, that one who wishes to become a professional musician, very often has to do things he doesn't want to do IN ORDER to reach his goal and make his own music?"

sure ok but this can be told if your favourite musician would be michael jackson or madonna I mean our favourite musicians may are not necessarily STARS that anyone could recognize in a Mac
this could be suitable if the topic was about "what would u ask your favourite star"

Actually, it's good for this topic because it also raises the question: "Are you ready to become that fameous?"
I think anyone who are on the virge of making it big should ask themselves that question.. "Would I be able to live the life of a star? Would I accept everyone prying in my personal life, and photograph every blooper I make? Would I like to get recognized everywhere I go?" ..and so on.
Think outside the box, your favorite musician can be totally unknown to the rest of the world, or a superstar.. doesn't matter. It's what you ponder that I need to know.
What would you ask him / her / them?
My question to Mnemic would be:
"Could you please get Michael back? Heck, I'll even pay him myself, just get him back in the band, right after his baby is old enough. I'll even be a nanny on tour, just get him back!"
(I guess only the really informative ppl know what I'm talking about now)
