Well, I have this .avi file with a concert and I want to extract the audio from it to put it on my iPod.. The problem is that Soundforge 8 gives me an error, and Adobe Premiere doesn't export any sound. It's just blank .wav which is is very odd 
Anyways, I was thinking maybe you know a program which can do this. Like load the avi and export the .wav out of it...

If all else fails, play the .avi with winamp. Full volume. Disk Writer output plugin.

Yeah, that probably works too  I've used it sometimes, as it seems to convert video formats, better than a lot of software. Oh, it's free too!

I don't know what's your sound card and stuff, but I can feed my output to the line in and record that. Try and see if there's some way for you to do that as well.

Winamp seems like a long shot.
I've used Audition, that seemed to do the trick, and I had the option which parts I wanted to rip offcourse
