if the question were "would you like the AOTM feature to be restored", everyone would vote yes and it would be a very boring poll result.  in other words, I'm in complete sympathy with you.

Who runs the artist of the month stuff? Who makes the decision?
Maybe we should have monthly voting? No...that wouldn't work too well. Maybe voting could simply pick some candidates and then the admins would choose from those candidates....
If there's nobody to conduct interviews, I could handle that aspect of it.

Personally, I'd like to see admins pick candidates based on suggestions they recieve from the community - then place perhaps 3 candidates per month, on a public vote....

personally, I think AoTM is not that very special. Why not simply conduct interviews who wants that?
