pro tools software will only work with a Pro Tools I/O unit. Depending on what your going to do with profiles, i imagine your going to do production, you'd need something like the Digi002 factory - will set you back around £2,000.
I've worked with pro-tools and didn't like it at, probally the worst system i have worked with. Why are you interested in pro-tools btw?

Hey, protools M-powered is meant to work with semi-pro M-Audio hardware.
Don't know the details, though.

Why? Maybe I want to buy very good program to make computer music (with useing instruments: guitar, synth.) so I think that pro tools "could" be the best choice to do that. Gary Numan useing it, NIN- they useing it too, so it should be good one.
I have no friends with I could talk about it, so that why I'm lill bit lost
