And btw, word is spreading that Materazzi called Zidane's sister a prostitute several times... I'm not doubting that the red card was deserved but now I can at least understand him  You've been running for almost 2 hours, you're exhausted, the pressure is building up and then someone insults you like that... it takes a lot of discipline not to get a blackout and snap. And I'm sure Materazzi was quite aware of that...

mate of mine told me it happened like this -> oh and i think zidane is a muslim in real life , so materazzi trew some rasistic things and therefore zidane snapped ... imo materazzi tho longer than zidane , with those words materazzi got zidane a red card + made him cry ( when he walked away from field ) ... it was pure mind game .. i think all materazzi did want to get was that headbutt or something to cause zidane a red card ... materazzi destroyed zidane mentally

Ah, crap.... Klinsmann said he won't coach the team anymore... Even if everyone wants him to stay I guess it's not a bad thing to do. If you resign when you're at the top everybody will always remember you as a hero 
Btw, I read a couple of articles that said theoretically Materazzi could be punished if it could be proven that he made racists comments towards Zidane. And the rules say that if such a thing happens the team loses at least 3 points in the league or in this case the victory might get anulled which would mean the cup gets taken away from Italy I know that's never gonna happen but it would surely be fun if that was the result of Zidane's action

If Zidane hasn't reactioned of that, sure that game it's rematched without Zidane and Materazzi. It's a total war!
