hi, i have been doin alot of songwriting lately and was wondering if ne1 could offer any advice? could u pls tell me what equipment and software i may need to record with? bearing in mind i am still learning how to use my computer, so some software confuses me. basically i would like to b able to record guitars, bass and vox here.

Hello buddy, there are a few ways..

You could get a decent mic and record yer guitar straight from your amp (SureSM57 is the standard for that, that's what I use), or you can get a decent effects pedal, I use PODLine6, it's a great amp emulator. You just plug yer guitar in it, and stick it through your computer and record. Bobs yer uncle, fanny's yer aunt. When I borrow a bass off me mate (dont own one), I plug that into my Line6 as well and it works just as well...

Of course you'll need software to sequence and record. I use Cubase
