Eh? First thing to do would be to actually balance your instruments right, because this just sounds plain aweful. Don't limit/compress so harshly, but rather compress and EQ your individual instruments right first to give them the right sound, as the kick just doesn't fit the profile. Don't turn your bass range instruments up too far either as they only muddy up the sound and suck the life out of the mix, which you then attempt to bring back through some sloppy compression, but fail miserably at - all in my opinion of course.
Sorry I don't have anything good to say about it, but I downloaded this the other day and only just listened to it, and I couldn't believe my ears.

Oh but you Neatherland thingy was so wonderful. I'm sure you'll get it. Try same trick again? Expand the song upon something that means a lot to you right now?

Hmm, I did say "all in my opinion". If you're happy with how it sounds then that's all that matters of course (to a certain extent at least). But I was just stating my opinion that I didn't like it at all - and gave constructive reasons for it. You can either choose to learn from it, or disregard it. Maybe it's just widely different tastes anyway.

One thing we all are looking for here is advice. Reflections upon our work and how to improve. Think at it for a moment. All collective wishing for feedback here at CTG, that's quite a mass.
So yes, I'm grateful for your ideas. However, you might want to think about the tone with which you adress people. Saying it's your opinion hasn't got a mildering effect in this case.

I think many people shouldn't be too sensetive: "Ah, your tone is so insulting! You are a damn flamer!" Or you really want everybody to talk sugar? Look, the tone of what I wrote is not pleasant - so what? If all things in life were pleasant, it would've been first of all a complete boredom. Those sensetive people get offended even if you are sweet. Pff.

You are not using smileys... But anyway, the decision is for all of us to make. How do we like our surrounding friends to be to have a good time and enjoy their company? How do we want to be percieved by those who don't know us? How does our "image" affect our popularity? How do we market ourselves and indirectly our productions if we are this or that? Does it matter if someone feels offended by how we act?
