Presenting: The Percussion Compo
Quick Rules:
- No musical samples/instruments allowed (piano/bass/synths)
- No musical percussion instruments allowed (marimba/vibes/glockenspiel)

Sounds interesting!
It could be argued that there is a fine line between what IS and what is NOT a melodic percussive instrument. Toms for example can have a strong melodic sense to them. But I interpret it as what is an instruments _primary_ function decides if it is or not is a percussive melodic one.

I think I'll enter with a typical PartySan 8 minute drum solo

Yes, some more info in this area could be nice. I'm gonna take for granted that 1up got the rules right untill I hear anything else. Could be a nice compo.

lol VP that's some nasty shit!
Well the tom-toms are part of a drumset and that's allowed. But a strictly melodical instrument such as the vibes or marimba is not allowed.
Timpani are allowed, but don't over-pitch them or use them to make some melodies and such, instead use them how they're supposed to be used.

Nifty compo! Are we allowed to used chopped breakbeats, or are we only supposed to use single drum samples? I tend to do my best rhythm work when using chopped breaks... but I can always use single hits if need be.
And could you define "mumbo jumbo chaotic entries" please?
