I was sittin' on my PC yesterday , just doing the usual mindless i-net surfing, when
suddenly my winamp randomly selected a wonderful track by 'Elysis' from the playlists.
'Neat' - I thought to myself. It was a long time ago since I last played a track by the noisemusic group. I remember those guys as one of the most original artists for that time (1995-2002) - stereoman (now Esem), elysis (Gerd Raudenbusch), altemark ...
I felt pretty bad when I went to noisemusic.org, only to find a big shiny 50cent poster staring at me from my mon . Hell, noisemusic even hosted ImpulseTracker downloads once - used to be noisemusic.org/IT
Ah, well...time passes and everything changes!
I was just wondering if someone around here remembers these guys
Or maybe someone has info whether they moved their song archives to some other place ? I think ftp.scene.org doesn't keep any archives of their works.
cheers!

I've heard altemark's music on Nectarine. His style is very experimental, I think. Here is Altemark's homepage. I haven't listened to the other blokes so much. You can listen to stereoman music on Nectarine too if you request it, but the donwload links are in ftp.noisemusic.org, which doesn't work anymore... |

Funny, i've been wondering the same thing these days. I'm lucky to have all the .mods but i tried to look for their archive online and there was none whatsoever, even on scene.org.
Well at least most of them are still active.
Altemark i think has stopped doing music much, and esem releases sometimes on merck records and recently a free album on kahvi ( which was pretty good ! )
It's sad that these staples of the free online music community are no where to be seen, but i guess they moved on
I still listen to a lot of their tracks, especially esem, altemark and elysis. They pretty much got me started in the whole music thing way back when they were releaseing mods in 1997 |

same thing here
Fortunatelly I was able to find all (I think) of their releases on an old CD of mine, which I thought I had lost with another bunch of scene music CDs . I wish I had some place to upload that stuff (with their permission of course), my hosting just won't take it.
Glad to see more fans of noise !

Nothing less than coincidence...
I have been checkin my older cds to catalogue them somehow and i've found my dj set based on noisemusic.org tracks...
That's the BOLD ONE.... I did it couple of years ago and as far as I remember it has been presented in local radio and broadcasted in enough records radio when I had my air time overthere....In few words quite brilliant piece of art...just the bright shinning noisemusic.org's pearls...carefully selected to give optimal pleasure and to build nostalgic state of the best times. MUST HAVE for all noisemusic.org fans.
Unfortunately no playlist available.
It's less than 63mb.
I hope you will enjoy it. Share it with your friends...They'll love it too.
You know better what is the most easy way to download it from the following link:
TERAZ MIX 7 - tribute to the noisemusic.org [63mb]
p.s. I've no idea how long can I store files on yousendit so if you could do any mirror of the file and publish the links somewhere that would be nice tribute from your side. Their art is worth it. |

A, while ago, thanks to Thomas Moore, we did an upload of some of N.O.I.S.E.'s tracks there.
