Well, I got a Bosendorfer Grand Piano refill the other day, and I don't know what to do with it. I'll explain:
Inside the refill there's 8 files:
Layer1.smp to Layer8.smp
And of course the directories with the samples for each of the 8 layers.
Now, if I import one of the Layer.smp intro NNXT or NN19 I get the full keyboard, but only one velocity. Like only forte or only piano. What I wanna do is somehow add all the 8 layers into NNXT to make a full velocity piano. And the thing is, I don't know how to do that. I checked the manual, nothing about layering, I tried something myself, didn't work.
It's pretty weird that they didn't include a BIG .smp with all the layerings and stuff already made...
Anyways, if anyone has any idea, please help me out. Thanks!
Cheers!

okay , if i got you right then i have cure for that , i use this to import shorter vocal clips
There is that Green Display on NN-XT you import the lowest smp file and it apears , then after sample name there is slider , usually 3 C notes long , now , you slide it short and then you slide it to the right key , likely C0
Well , if my explaining was not clear enough , PM Me |

Actually I don't wanna layer on the ambitus... because the smp files already have all the 88 samples (for the 88 keys of the piano)
What I wanna do is actually import all the 8 layer.smp (each with 88 samples inside) files into one NNXT, and set them accordingly to their velocity settings...

Use combinator. Create 8 nn-xts, load each .smp to it's own nn-xt and use program window to priorize velocities between each instance of nn-xt. Mixture of combinators velocity sense and each nn-xt's own velocity sense gives quite some changes to create really organic sound |

Now that sounds messy Loading 8 samplers, one for each velocity layer... but I've never used reason... and if it is the only solution, it is.
Watching NN-XT screenshots atm. There's the "low velocity" and "high velocity" knobs, that should controll which velocities that makes a sample play. What if you import all 8 files (if NN-XT can handle 704 samples in one preset)? Then you select the first 88 (loudest) sounds, and restrict them with the "low velocity" and "hi velocity" knobs to only sound when you play loud. Velocity 115 - 127 perhaps... and then you continue with the next 88 samples, until each layer is restricted to your wanted velocity range. Avoid using the "fade in" and "fade out" crossfading though. Some people believe it sounds more natural if they use it (at least they did with some hardware synth I used, but it doesn't sound good at all).
I have no idea if this works since I never used reason, but it sounds logical to me
