Hello friends,
I'm looking for artists to remix some of my tracks from my album.
The best remixes will be selected and added in a forthcoming album/compilation and would be available on my website (all my musics are sold over the world and all my musics are under copyrights).
You're free to accept this competition or not
But if you accept to remix one or several tracks, you have to know that it's for free and for fun. But you would have full credit plus a link to your own works.

Oh well I would go for LUNAR SAGA, but what kind of competition are you talking about?

Hello DJ Beavis.
There is no "real" competition. It's for fun and pleasure. I'll select the best remixes. |

Hello DJ Beavis.
There is no "real" competition. It's for fun and pleasure. I'll select the best remixes.
All I could offer to the winners, is a full credit on my website and on the artworks of the album. Example: LUNAR SAGA RMX by DJ Beavis www.yourwebsite.com, youremail@djbeavis.com
And the best remixes would be added into a compilation (released on CD + digital download).
|
Cool, what will you provide as materials for the remix? a multi track session or a project file or note sheet?

I could provide the complete songs in MP3 (320 kbps) but if you would like to have separate tracks, there is no problem for me. Just ask

So... just to get this straight: We remix your music, receive no compensation, and you get to sell it all over the world...? At the very least it would seem that money brought on by digital download sales for the individual track would be directed somewhat to the remix artist.
It's a great idea for you, but I just don't see the benefit for the remix artist. At least you're upfront with everything though, I'll give you that much. Best of luck! |

I see the point everyone is trying to make about the money he would make off of a possible sale of our work, but to me I would think there is a postive spin on this as well. Mainly being if your work is good, He sales your mix, your mix becomes notable and then your name would be everywhere generating more interests in your own work. I may have a small mind at times but how bad can that really be, I agree everyones got to pay bills and eat but if your into making music because it can create a revenue for you then maybe simply your in it for all the wrong reasons. |

Free is not what your original post said, thus my reply. It still seems as if it would be available for sale, as well as being available for free. If someone wants to do this, that's their decision - like I said, at least you're up front about it. It just seems ridiculous to me that someone would want to compose, not only for free, but for someone else to make money from.
Obviously my point of view is to only compose for money. Way to put together a strawman argument and attack me for no reason.
