first of all, you shouldn't try to do music the easiest way, because that's not how it works. making music needs a lot patience, practise, messing with software/hardware etc. so if you're looking for an easy way, practise using fl studio 6. toy around with it, get used to all the gadgets it has to offer, how everything works etc. after a while, making music turns easy.
or just get a techno ejay.

You could either get Techno Ejay, which offers an easy making techno tool. It's fun, while it lasts, but it's not really going to get you anywhere. Making music is hard work, and you should really dive into programs like FL 6, cubase and logic. It's simply the only way.
Its logical also, I mean, if composing would be easy, everyone would be a superstar.

Really, don't listen too much to the other ones here
There's no reason why you must start to learn the most advanced music software. Sure, one day you will probably move to one of them, but it's better to start out with something easier.
Tunafish is not bad. Orion is nice too.
The some of you other guys: Stop being so fucking sarcastic (ASSHOLE TRACKER v8.1 blah blah blah). He was only asking for some easy to use music software. Even I couldn't figure out fruityloops when I tried it rescently.
This have happened so many times before now. A new person comes to ctg, asks a simple question and people go like "FU" at him. Soon this will be a place where a few regulars hang out, who have been members ever since the name of this site was "cute trance girls". I want no part of it though. I'll remove my profile, change the password to something I don't remember.
There are a lot of ctg'ers I like though, I hope you still appear on msn, or #modarchive. I liked dfast's and anlysis posts, although I didn't fully agree with that you must begin with the most advanced software. |

I agree. This should be a music community. However, when a newbie asks a newbie question everyone starts being a bitch. Thanks Lonestar and Storm destroying another topic

To be honest with you: I've got no idea what orion or Tunafish is. I'll have to check it out to agree or disagree with you.
I agree completely that I dont like these jackass posts however. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Since I'm an old tracker, I would instinctivly want to say "STAY AWAY FROM TRACKERS AS A FIRST PROGRAM!" ... I bet alot of great would be artists have been turned off by the horrendously complex interfaces of trackers and never fully explored their artistic abilities, which in my opinion is rather sad.
So KviZ, I would advise that you play around a bit with a very simple program such as rave ejay, or techno ejay to get a feel of how mixing together sounds works, but don't expect that you can release those songs because they are based on well known sample sets (which makes everybody's techno/rave ejay songs sound the same)
Then when you feel like it, ask around again in the forums and check out some suggested programs which are a bit more advanced.. but first, find out if music is fun to make for you, and you only.
And oh yeah, about the immature fuckheads dissing the guy, well.. on one hand I understand you, we've had alot of people lately asking about suitable programs, moderators, would you please commission somebody to write a simple yet elegant tutorial on suitable programs for a newbie and then sticky it? I think that would eliminate alot of unneccessary negative responses on topics like this one.
