Xa, I beg to differ about the sample support, Fruityloops is just one big sampler, with vst support.
I have done things with percussion and other sounds, Reason could only dream of doing.
The Fruity Sampler is a very very powerfull tool.
I've tried Reason for 2,5 years versions 1, 2, 2.5 and 3.
and FL 5 and 6.
Reason has so much limitations,
I would recommend FL for the very easy learning curve.

I never used Reason, but I used FL Studio 3 and now using 4. I can tell you that in this prog you can create any digital effect, do any style of music of any complexity, all that easy to organize and easy to learn. The only thing that's difficult is to actually do good music. FL Studio is highly customizable, it has a good help system both inside the package and a knowledge base on their website, works great with VST, midi input/output, sf2.

FL Studio doesn't really support any of the "big" multisample formats natively (unless of course you get the XXL version with DirectWave and SoundFont Player), so I kind of agree with Xa. |

You know, just can't take the time to actually update it... + I heard it requires more CPU, FL 5 and 6 and my good old comp is better that way atm

So you agree, FL can handle it, that's the main question right, and it can.
and well, just check out the fruity sampler, it can do more as the nn-xt19

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying it doesn't support any major mulitsample formats unless you pay extra.

FL updates are free. if you had FL 3 or 4, you will have soundfont player without paying extra. But yes, you are right. From FL 5 it is not included. However, 35$ is a normal price for a wonderful plugin.
