As far as I know these remixes can be hard to make if the artist hasn't released the acapella already. You probably know about DJ Danger Mouse who mixed Jay-Z's 'The Black Album' with The Beatles' 'The White Album'. Well, that was only possible because Jay-Z put up the acapella for free.
Or consider Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor put up the Garageband and Ableton Live version of "Only" and "The Hand that Feeds" (from "With Teeth") 'round May 2005 saying "There is no agenda here other than for you to explore, experiment, and have fun with it, I'm looking forward to hearing what you come up with". 500 or more remixes were put up to the NINremixes MySpace page (I would've put it up too, but the process of getting the files was complicated enough )
In short: No, I don't know, and you probably don't own the master tapes so you can rip the vocals from there.

Byte-Smasher somehow managed to rip the vocals from a prodigy song, but they came out rather funky sounding, so for some styles that method might work, but the sound of the vocals is very limiting.
so bytey baby, take it away!

I had a Fugees a capella song in XM format back in November of 1997... I don't know if it was this one, but I remember it because it was one of the first tracks I ever looked at in FT2.

It might be easier to rip from the Roberta Flack version. It has more subtle instruments and harder panning, and even better; no Wyclef Then again, no Lauryn
I remember the days when we used to dream about being jaded. |
