Because I'm a student! (I don't have a good answer really)
I also was lucky enough to find a brand new copy of Castlevania (Circle of the Moon) at a local shop. That was the first Castlevania game for the GBA, and I've been looking for a complete copy for a long time now on eBay and various internet stores. And there it was, right in front of me on a shelf, costing almost nada. So now I have all GBA and DS titles in the series.
Only played Circle of the Moon for half an hour though. It seems like a very good game, the music so far rocks, and seems better than the music in the other two GBA titles. I like the graphics design too, and my only gripe so far is that the gravity seems a bit strange (when you jump and throw axes etc.).
What a horrible night to have a curse.

A great game that one. Been playing it more now, and it's a satisfying gaming experience indeed. It felt a bit too easy and too short the first time I played it through (the "worst" ending, as the later Castlevania games have different endings depending on what you do), but as I am working myself towards the "next" ending I realize the game is a lot bigger than I first thought.
I wonder when they will release the next DS title in the series.
And I wonder if they'll make a Castlevania game for the Wii. Could be interesting, could be very bad. But with all the supposedly mediocre 3d Castlevanias out there it wouldn't hurt to try.

I just ordered Castlevania: Bloodlines/The New Generation for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. While I don't have the system myself, my flat mate does. The thing is, it turns out this game is what Portrait of Ruin builds on, as you control Jonathan Morris' father in this game. Shall be interesting.

Ok, so then I've finally completed Portrait of Ruin, and what a game it is! It's at least as good as Dawn of Sorrow, and now that I'm done there are unlocked modes to play, plus I have still quests to do in the main game. I spent about 10 hours to do what I've done so far, so it's quite some gaming for the bucks.

I've not finished yet.... I'm currently battling DEATH and fuck he's hard >.<, you got any tips on weapons and spells to use? alot of the time I hit him, I either take off 1hp or if I get him high enough, 16hp's....

I don't quite remember the weapon I used, but I think the lightning attack (the combined one) worked well on him. And Charlotte's ice spell.
